The Great Wave reimagined
Introducing a minimalist wallpaper inspired by "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" by Katsushika Hokusai.
This is our second wallpaper, continuing our nature theme like our first wallpaper featuring dune. This time we've chosen to focus on waves.
Our phones are always filled with notifications and countless distractions. Finding a moment of calm can be hard. Our goal in making minimalist wallpaper is to offer a simple, aesthetically pleasing background inspired by nature that brings a sense of calm to your daily interactions with your devices.
There are many basic wave line wallpapers out there, but we wanted to do something different that truly captures the beauty of the ocean.
That's when I had the idea to translate the legendary artwork 'The Great Wave' into a modern minimalist wallpaper.
We aimed to capture the essence of the wave on each device. To achieve this, we carefully adjusted the design to look great whether it's on your Mac's expansive screen or your Apple Watch's compact display.
